I want to hear from you!

So the second story I'm writing for Love's Landscapes has been pretty humorous so far. However there is now a scene that, to me, borders on dub-con. I've read dub-con and non-con. Non-con doesn't bother me if it's done right (sounds weird I suppose but that's the way my brain works). Dub-con hardly ever bothers me (unless it's an epic fail).
My question to you is: How do you feel about dub-con and/or non-con?

  1. Never bothered me until I picked up War of the Dragons as a read for review - there was so much non-con and dub-con that I was completely disgusted not only by the material, but by the author as well. Turned me completely off because it was so blantantly done. But you are right in that if it's done right, it can be emotional without totally turning the reader off.

    1. Looking back on most of what I've written, both published and unpublished, it has occurred to me that a lot of it can be taken as dub-con. That's what gave me the final shove to post this question.

Glad to see someone chipping in with their two cents. ^_^ *note to self - don't read War of the Dragons*
